PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & PACKAGING

BioErvi (Aphidius ervi) is an effective parasitic wasp for larger aphid species that are not effectively controlled by Aphidius colemani such as potato aphids (Macrosiphum euphorbiae), foxglove aphids (Aulacorthum solani) as well as pea aphids (Acyrthosiphon pisum) and can also parasitize cannabis aphids (Phorodon cannabis).

An effective parasitic wasp for larger aphid species that are not effectively controlled by Aphidius colmani. Supplied in bottles containing wasp "mummies" ready to emerge. Use BioErvi in greenhouses, nurseries and interiorscapes.

BioErvi is available in 100cc bottles containing 250/500/1,000/5,000 mummies.


STORAGE

  • Storage temperature: 4-8°C (39-46°F)
  • Do not store in sunlight
  • Treat area against ants
  • Hang product on the plant


APPLICATION

  • BioErvi is shipped in insulated, chilled boxes. Packaging must be kept intact until placed in the field.
  • Keep in a cool location until release.
  • Ants may interfere with parasitic wasps, if present, treat the area before applying
  • Distribute by opening the bottle, allowing wasps to fly out in search of aphids. The bottle may also be emptied into D-boxes and hang in the plant canopy.
  • Do not expose the bottles to direct sunlight.
  • BioErvi can be integrated with other aphid predators to help target aphid outbreaks. 

The amount and frequency of the application (introduction rate) is determined by the target crop, level of infestation, weather conditions and damage inflicted to the crop.
